Healing Light

Our unique healing candles are inspired by moments of connecting with nature throughout the world and the enduring wisdom of generations from East to West. IKSUN 익선 LIGHT luxury healing candles are slowly stirred with healing intention.

In February 2024, I began hand pouring small batches of soy wax candles to spread the powerful healing love emanating from Morning Calm Healing Home in Las Vegas, NV. IKSUN 익선 LIGHT healing candles are infused with a felt sense of care, and stored within the healing home.

The Healing Home

I am an intercountry adoptee born in Iksan, South Korea, and raised as an only child in Laguna Beach, California. In 2018, I reunited with my birth mother and half brother during my first trip back home to South Korea. Following my birth family reunion, I began creating large studio artwork to process my adoption experiences, and was inspired to create a safe, therapeutic sanctuary, a healing home designed to hold adoptees through the deep healing process of facing loss, rejection, shame/guilt, grief, identity, intimacy, and mastery/control (7 Core Issues in Adoption and Permanency…, Rozsia & Maxon, 2019).

While following the golden thread of adoption healing during my master’s counseling program at Northwestern University, I experienced a number of challenges and set-backs that ushered the birth of Morning Calm Healing Home. The healing home emerged like a bright seed of hope shining deep within the darkness that surrounded me.

Morning Calm Healing Home is a spiritual sanctuary and therapeutic art house designed to support integrative therapies, holistic chakra alignment, and international retreats for Korean adoptees, all adopted people, and all who seek wellness and wholeness.

IKSUN 익선 LIGHT honors the primal ritual of striking a flame and stoking a fire to serve the needs of family and community. The ritual lighting of candles across the globe continues to sustain and inspire hope.
